Mar 27 2008: Lounging on the Beach

Didn't do much today. We returned the bikes first thing in the morning, and Larry at Big Kahuna Cycle dinged us $10 for a missing plastic cover for the luggage rack on the BMW, which I thought was kind of cheap of him, seeing how the bike was in pretty poor condition to start with. Especially since it looked like it had been dropped on that side and the plastic panel was sitting less than 3 inches away from the rear turn-signal which he taped up with duct tape minutes before we rented the bike. Personally, I thought it would have been better customer service if he had just told us not to worry about it. If anyone's reading this, avoid this place, if you don't want to get nickeled and dimed over motorcycles that look like ass...

I'm surprised that turn-signal stayed on the whole time we rode it. Note missing plastic panel...

Want to rent rustbuckets? Go to Big Kahuna Cycle in Oahu...

Anyway....we spent the rest of the day on the beach just relaxing from our motorcycle vacation. Not many pictures as we left the camera up in the hotel room...We had dinner at a place that Dan had recommended called Suntory, which had a great Teppanyaki dinner. Here are some shots of our after-dinner stroll through Honolulu...

This is the bar where Jerome and I had the night-before-the-wedding talk. We discussed diversionary tactics, escape routes and emergency helicopter rentals. To see how it all turned out, go on to the next day!
