| Jan 25 2018: The Road to Hel is Unpaved, With Good Indentations For nearly 200 years, there was no road in and out of the valley. Generations of subsistence farmers were born, lived and died with no outside contact with the rest of civilization. Outside, two world wars passed. Apartheid rose up and was torn down. The Gamkaskloof Valley was untouched by all of it. And now we venture in with our motorcycles.
